The AI of Google is now learning to make another Artificial Intelligence

While Artificial Intelligence systems seems like the recipe for a software development Sci-Fi nightmare, experts agree that it can create a future with less costly and more efficient work force. The benefits of an Artificial Intelligence-powered future could be outweighed by the jobs that the technology makes obsolete. The most prolific minds in Artificial Intelligence research from groups, which include Google Brain, DeepMind, OpenAI and university research departments’ at the most prestigious tech schools in the nation are developing software development program tools and machine-learning systems that could create machine-learning systems. Google Brain researchers were able to design software that built an artificial intelligence system to take a test that will measure how well the software could process language. The software performed better on the test compared to a software that’s designed by humans. According to Jeff Dean, the leader of the Google Brain group, automated machine learning is the most promising research avenue for his team. If it turns out that artificial intelligence could consistently perform at comparable levels to the Google Brain experiment, self-starting artificial intelligence can lead to rapid technology implementation. However, even if the prospect is very exciting to technology enthusiasts, a growing number of people are way of what increased roll-outs of artificial intelligence systems would mean for their livelihoods.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT

Automation is set to disrupt the way that the economy and even capitalism has operated for centuries. Machines in the long run are cheaper than human workers. There would be no worry on unionization, vacation time, health insurance or a lot of aspects of employment that people expect and need from employers. Nonetheless, the more effective, cheaper labor force would come at a great cost.

 Google learning Artificial Intelligence

At present, creating a powerful AI means hard work. It would take time to train AI’s carefully using machine-learning and also money to hire experts who know the software developer tools needed to do it. The ultimate aim of Google Brain is to minimize the costs and make artificial intelligence or AI more efficient and more accessible. If a corporation or university looking to build an artificial intelligence of their own can just rent an AI builder, rather than hiring a team of experts, it will minimize the cost and boost the number of AIs, spreading the benefits that the technology could offer far and wide. Additionally, using AIs to create more AIs could also increase the speed wherein new AIs could be created. At present, artificial intelligence’s could take weeks or even months to learn how to do tasks via the use of unfathomably huge amounts of computing power to try things again and again, quite literally beginning with no comprehension of anything that they are doing. Artificial intelligence trainers could find ways of optimizing the process wherein no human can hope to discover. However, the downside is that artificial intelligence building more AIs sure appears as if it’s inviting a runaway cascade. Once an AI is trained to accomplish a specific goal, one could not necessarily crack it open and check out how it is doing it. AI’s understanding of the world is definitely alien. Thus, the plans of Google to prevent a Skynet kind of catastrophe involve discouraging AI’s gently from disabling their own kill switches as they’re being trained.

The biggest sector to be affected by automation proliferation would be manufacturing, particularly in the developing world. In his farewell address, President Obama even mentioned automation. He stated that the next wave of economic dislocations will not come overseas. Instead, it would come from the relentless automation pace, which makes plenty of middle-class, good jobs obsolete. Experts in the industry tend to agree to this statement. Furthermore, as the development indicates, not only low-skill jobs are compromised. Currently, there are AI systems that’s been developed, which could replace songwriters, film editors, journalists and a whole lot more. Now, with AI capable of making AI function better than humans, people should be a bit more aware and observant of what awaits on the horizon. Designing a good AI is difficult. For a company such as Google that heavily relies on artificial intelligence, the best possible artificial intelligence software is paramount. And who better to design an artificial intelligence than another artificial intelligence?

The people at Google Brain’s lab is reportedly creating an artificial intelligence software that could create more AI software, the goal which is in the future, making artificial intelligence easier and affordable. As of now, Google stated that its artificial intelligence maker, in competition with human engineers is not advanced enough yet. Nevertheless, given the fast pace of developing artificial intelligence, it could be a few years before this would no longer be true. If self-starting artificial intelligence methods become practical, they could boost the pace in which machine-learning software is implemented across the economy.

Your Future Office: Traditional, Cloud, Microsoft or Google?

The future office could be traditional, cloud, Microsoft or Google. Whatever an enterprise chooses, the key for success is to choose a system that could best meet the specific requirements of the company as well as the customer needs.

In today’s continuous change in business processes and customer requirements, a business needs to consider what its future office would be like. Whether it would opt for traditional computing, cloud computing, Microsoft or Google. For those who are undecided as to what office to choose, it would be a good idea to know these four choices to make a well-informed decision.

When it comes to the difference between traditional and cloud computing, the major differences is in the delivery mode or access to computing resources and the associated cost as well. In traditional computing, typically one would have to own or share the said remoter server. With traditional computing, and with an own server, it would incur capital expenses, such as hiring admins, cost of the server and physical rent among others. The cost is almost constant, whether the server is fully used or otherwise.

In the traditional method, files and data are stored with other users and often with conflicting objectives. Lack of isolation exposes to the risk of poor performance and poor security. Most probably, one has to pay fixed charges regardless of how much of the storage portion or bandwidth is actually used. The way of subscribing to storage is not automatic. If more storage is needed, the administrator should be informed and wait for the upgrade of the subscription to occur. While it may appear like automatic, in almost all instances, there is some human admins performing the dirty work at the back-end.

Cloud computing changes the story in a lot of ways. It does not required owning a remote server since it is simple to rent one off the shelf. Furthermore, there is also no need to care about sharing the storage or remote server with others. The risk of privacy, security violations and performance violation is significantly minimized. It is ‘pay as you go or use’, thus equals to great savings. With cloud computing, one is not limited to simply storage. In the cloud, one could rent just about anything, from big cluster or servers, operating systems, block storage, software development platforms and favorite app software as well. There’s been a flood of new cloud-based offerings in the market recently, while intensification in merger-and-acquisition caused main shifts in the service provider community.

Cloud works as well only as a business manages it. The key to achieve the benefits that the system promises is with a centralized, integrated IT Service Management or ITSM system that is focused to demand management, service integration and capacity management. The only way to such a system is via proactive strategies thinking well ahead of the implementation. It’s necessary to take extra care in considering the move to cloud and ascertain that the organization is culturally and practically read to gain the most from what the computing style has to offer.

Microsoft and Google are two systems that could be considered as the future office or an organization. A lot of people think that Google is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Probably in part since Google has challenge the dominance of Microsoft in the technology field. The reality is that both Google and Microsoft offer competing products and their core business does not overlap very much.

The main strength of Microsoft is the Windows operating system, which continues to dominate the desktop via Mac OS and Linus and are gaining ground. On the other hand, the main strength of Google is the big portfolio of search products, which display ads as well. Microsoft is weak in terms of search and cloud computing. Google is weak when it comes to desktop computing and operating systems. Even though Microsoft has ‘phone home’ features inside, the truth is that Microsoft isn’t engaged in the type of massive collection of data that Google is doing. Google keeps entering new markets with products having very fussy privacy rules and policies. Microsoft has been the target of privacy advocates for a long time, and thus, they have cleaned up their act since they are a massive, mature organization.

Microsoft has seen the shift to cloud coming for some time, but has been slow to adapt it. The shift demands that it moves in exactly the opposite direction from where it dominates. The founding mission of Microsoft was to put a computer on every desk in every home, bringing it from the mainframe into people’s homes, otherwise decentralizing computing. Google is on the other hand re-centralizing computing. Google remains very dominant and too powerful. It has turned into the very thing it stood against originally. It has become a snoop and bully, managing to be ignorant and defensive at the same time. It has become the internet’s Microsoft.

Google makes it easier to switch from iOS to Android with Google Drive backup tool.

In the Play Store, Apple has a switch tool which helps the Android users to switch to iOS. Unlike Google, this would be approved by the Apple bots in the App Store. With this, one can take the backup of your iPhone data to Drive, then restore it all on Android.

One can check out the new backup option in the iOS Drive app which is found under menu > settings > backup. On uploading all the backup on the Drive, it can grab your contacts, calendar events, and photos/videos. If you have lot of media files with more GB’s it will obviously take a lot more time to upload. For that Wi-Fi is needed for the backup to take place and the Drive app has to stay open. Unfortunately, there’s no option for backup.

The data from iOS will automatically be accessible in the corresponding apps, when one logs into their Google Account on a new Android phone. Unlike Pixel exclusive cable transfer tool, this process works with any Android phone.

Google is working on a MacBook killer with a special breed of Android

Google has recently started the campaign where the pixels of the smartphones can be seen. But Google is not planning to announce in the early phase of the October. The vital thing that the company undertakes is Andromeda operating system, a merger between Android and Chrome OS.

Andromeda is not a proper name, but rather one can say it is an internal codename for initial process, which would represent the major shift in the Android strategy. Google will be able to make out the best from both the worlds and release other types of Android devices, which also incorporates better laptops and tablets. The news was revealed that the first laptop running Andromeda will come out the next summer.

As per the report, it was said that the Android Police will release the Pixel3 laptop and is set to arrive in the third quarter of 2017. Internally the project is called as Bison and laptop would be the first showcase on the Android Google.

Android Police quotes that, “Bison then would be a culmination of years work by Google’s Pixel team and Google’s Android and Chrome OS teams”.

For now, the specifications of Bison includes a 12.3-inch display with the touch support, Intel m3 or i5 Core processors, 32GB to 128GB storage, 8GB to 16GB RAM, finger print scanner, USB C-connectivity, 3.5mm headphone jack, stylus support, stereo speakers, quad microphones, backlit keyboards and more. It also has 10mm thickness which made it a 12-inch MacBook.

The most important thing about the Bison is that, it sell for just $799, according to the information available to the Android Police a time. The scenario would be different after some years and there are the chances that Google could even cancel the product. But this MacBook seems to be quite interesting.

Google Play on Windows, Mac OS, and Linux?

Recently some Chrome OS code surfaced that proposed the Google Play Store would bring "millions" of Android applications to Chrome OS. Google has tried different things with Android applications on Chrome OS, however now it appears to be ready to unleash the full gathering of Android applications onto the "program just" working framework. There's no official word from Google on how this will play out, however, the very design of Google's Android applications on Chrome OS execution opens some intriguing potential outcomes.

The element is conceivable due to the "Application Runtime for Chrome (ARC)," a venture that executes the Android runtime on top of Chrome's "Local Client" augmentation design. Local Client is a Chrome sandboxing innovation that was outlined in light of execution and versatility, permitting modules to keep running at "close local" paces by exploiting the framework's CPU and GPU. Bend made a major stride a year ago when it included backing for the Google Play Services APIs, which numerous Play Store applications rely on upon to work.

The Play Store on Chrome OS would open Google Play applications to another structure variable (ghastly Android portable PCs in any case), yet it could likewise be the tip of the chunk of ice. Keep in mind, ARC is only a Chrome augmentation, so it works all around desktop Chrome works. On the off chance that the full Google Play Store comes to ARC, it would be feasible for it to chip away at Chrome OS, as well as Chrome's other host desktop working frameworks: Windows, OS X, and Linux.

We could take a gander at a Trojan steed. Imagine a scenario in which Chrome OS is only the test stage, with an arrangement to inevitably unleash Google Play on each other desktop stage later on. Each processing gadget today is a piece of an environment play, so imagine a scenario in which Google's biological community could do fight with Apple and Microsoft all alone stages.

On the off chance that Play comes to Chrome OS, a move to each real desktop OS would positively be actually conceivable. The principal form of ARC was misleadingly constrained to Chrome OS, however a hack seemed only nine days after it propelled that empowered it to chip away at Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. Google's authentic "Bend Welder" application now gives anybody a chance to bundle a current Android APK up as a Chrome augmentation that will take a shot at any desktop stage.

There's likewise the conceivable gossip of Chrome and Android "converging" into another desktop OS. It's a wild gossip, yet it comes specifically from The Wall Street Journal. What's more, if the paper wasn't right, it would be the first occasion when it flubbed a major Google gossip. It's anything but difficult to envision Google Play on Chrome is a piece of this assumed gossip, however, this is a different venture that accompanies Google's inclination to expand and fabricate two of everything. The Chrome/Android bits of gossip are about making an Android-based desktop working framework. In that venture, Google would fabricate the framework UI and each other part of the working framework starting from the earliest stage. Google Play as a Chrome augmentation is more about having Google Play assuming control others' desktop stage. It's like Google's application technique now, where Google makes its own particular versatile working framework, however, you can likewise get Google's bunch applications on iOS.

Taking a "major picture" perspective of things, a move like this could be a piece of a procedure to make Android applications take a shot at each gadget possible. Today Android applications take a shot at watches, telephones, tablets, autos, and TVs. Include the maximum capacity of the Google Play Chrome expansion, and Android applications additionally keep running on Chrome OS, Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. Jab around in the talk factory and there are even a couple of more conceivable structure variables coming: various reports have asserted Google is building an exceptional form of Android for VR headsets. We've even seen indications of Android turning into a VR stage in Android N. There's likewise the previously stated Android-based desktop OS. In the event that these all work out into real items, that is a ton of structure components that would be perfect with Android.

That would be a staggering pitch for designers. Compose for Google Play and you'll be focusing on each major working framework for each structure element, spare iOS. Obviously, you wouldn't have any desire to quite recently indiscriminately run telephone applications on everything. Designers would even now be urged to utilize the same center application code on each stage, in addition, to fabricating a couple of custom interfaces for the significant structure elements. The test for Google would get engineers to really make these custom interfaces for each stage, which is something it hasn't possessed the capacity to do with Android tablets. It's been such an issue, to the point that Google has attempted to work around this for a portion of the more current Android stages: on Android Auto and Android Wear, Google assembles the interface and designers simply connect their information to the system. Regardless of the possibility that Google can't motivate engineers to play along, the uplifting news for desktops is that telephone applications really aren't that terrible when you can place them in a skimming window.

So if Google Play ever comes to Chrome OS, watch out. It could be a play for an antagonistic biological community takeover of each significant desktop working framework. Google has been building Native Client and ARC for a long while. Presently the organization needs to choose on the off chance that it needs to push the catch.

Google Maps is looking to improve its functionality by rolling out Wi-Fi only mode

With the most amazing functionalities in Google, it is now leveraging with the millions of people with the strong crowdsource base. However, due to one more add-on of improving the location information, it will make the people highly excited to use the Google services. Google has also modified the process of editing, sharing and updating the information to make it more user-friendly. And recently, Google is finally rolling out with the Wi-Fi only mode for its most loved Google Map App. This feature would be gradually available to the users in near future and users would need a v9.32 version to take the advantage of this feature.

You can check out if this feature is available on your device. Open the Settings screen and look for a new toggle on the second line with the title "Wi-Fi only." If it's there, you're set to go offline. It would stop your mobile data usage and will switch to the Wi-Fi mode. On using this mode for the first time, it will show you a pop up in a quick manner that, it may use the small amount of the data.

This is not enough, Google has still something to reveal. It also announced that users who’re using the version 9.32 will get the pop ups of map notification regarding the mass transit delays. This is especially for the people who are using the public transport like bus, trains, metros and more. The same will inform users of disruption alerts in selected services via notifications, provided the same is available in your region. But, it was revealed that the updated feature might crash the app and some errors were also found. Before the wider availability of this feature, there would some improvements needed in it. Users, who are highly enthusiastic in using the new features before the official rollout, can use Google-signed APK for Google Maps for Android v9.32.1 via APK Mirror, but do not that this is not a guarantee the new features will show up.

Google recently bumped up with the image quality and also added the new section of that would enable the user to add one or more location in the map app. These additional features are available for the Android users, Google Maps and Google search only.

Google advancing into virtual reality, messaging and payment services

Google is making more moves into the virtual reality and messaging apps as the organization discovered new items and redesigns at it's Google I/O conference in Mountain View, California.

They declared another stage for virtual reality called Daydream, and said manufacturers including Samsung, HTC and Huawei would have cell phones capable of handling it in this fall.

The platform, incorporated with coming Android Nougat operating system, is intended to enhance the experience of Cardboard, which Google propelled two years back, by making virtual-reality encounters that are more agreeable, higher quality and more immersive.

Google said it had made a reference outline for a headset that a partner maker would have prepared for the fall, and plans for another controller that has a couple catches, a touch-pad, and sensors that track its orientation and where it's indicating.

In an exhibit for exactly 7,000 participants at the conference, the Google demonstrated how the controller could be utilized to flip computerized flapjacks, toss things, cast a virtual angling line and fly an advanced digital dragon.

New Messaging App

A messaging application that consolidates Google's new voice partner? Say "hi" to Allo

allo google

The application will accessible this late spring on both Android and adversary Apple phones, allows chatting partners to look up restaurant options and even book a table right in the app.

It additionally gives clients a variety of emojis and stickers and the alternative to increase or decrease the measure of content to add accentuation.

Allo likewise gives a scope of automated reactions to questions and even photographs, identifying things like eateries and dog breeds.

In a smack at Snapchat, Allo likewise highlights an "incognito" mode that adds end-to-end encryption and permits a user to set a timer on when their messages vanish.

Android Pay Expands to U.K.

Google's portable payment service, Android Pay, is going to the U.K., expanding its first extension outside the U.S.
Google joined Apple Pay, which launched in the U.K. almost a year back.

With both services, users just have to tap a phone alongside a store's payment per user to charge a credit or platinum card. Yet, it works just with stores that have more up to date remote per users called near field commutators.

Another challenge has been convincing for the users i.e it's less demanding than hauling out a plastic card for installment.

Apple Pay is likewise in China, Canada, Australia and Singapore, with Hong Kong and Spain to come. Google says Android Pay will extend to Singapore and Australia this year.

Google launched certification program for software application development companies

Recently, Google announced the certification program for the software development companies who had shown the great competence and unbeatable efforts in building apps and services. The sole agenda of this services is to identify the software companies that have undergone the mandatory training and have proved their excellence in building Android application.
This program is an exertion by Google's Developer Relations group to work intimately with organizations around the globe and help them to construct top-notch user experience. It includes personalized training, dedicated content, priority support form, the product and developer relations team, and early access to upcoming developer products.

As a Certified Agency, software application development can highlight an identification on their site and materials that will help them to emerge when customers are searching for a software application development company. To get the certification, development organizations need to first be a member of the more extensive agencies program.

Afterward, members can fill out this form to begin the process. Only those will be eligible for the certification programs, who had reviewed participation in a program offered by agencies, feedbacks from clients and meeting the standard quality guidelines.

Total 13 software development companies in India, Russia, UK and the USA have already been already enrolled in since Google first announced this declaration since last December. These software application development companies worked with large as well as small enterprise.

Additionally, it was also noted that “These program does not endorse or offer any warranty regarding certified companies”, the thought here is clearly to highlight a portion of the organizations that Google itself considers among the best in the ecosystem. While the attention here is on Android applications, Google had also cleared that additionally, it will also incorporate support for organizations that work on web applications, as well.

Have a look at this video https://youtu.be/UBJlr6vxm0U for the better understanding.

"Android Nougat" - Google announced the official name of Android N

Finally, the suspense, curiosity, and the hype for the name of Android 7 or Android N came to an end. On 30th June 2016, Google officially announced its 7th version of its Android Operating System. The much awaited Android N is now named as “Android Nougat”. Check out the official video Android Nougat Statue Unwrapping.

There was a much hype created around the world for this name search. Also, a few days ago, Google jokingly confirmed Android N name as Namey McNameface. (Read my earlier blog covering this topic: http://hiren-it-consultant.blogspot.in/2016/06/google-android-n-namey-mcnameface.html)

A worldwide campaign was executed in which the Google fans participated with lots of enthusiasm. After revealing this name, hearts of many fans were broken into pieces, especially from India. Earlier in May Google invited their fans to suggest the names for Android N. And the response was flooded with the sweet treats named Neyaappam, Nankhatai, Nutella, Newyork cheesecake and to the surprise, there was the massive response from Indians. And finally, it came with the name as Nougat which is a hard chewy white or pink sweet food, usually containing nuts.

Currently, Google is headed by an Indian CEO Sundar Pichai, and thus many fans thought that company would name its new version with an Indian dessert. The most hyped name was Neyaappam which is traditional South Indian delicacy from Kerala. Several campaigns were run to vote for this name on the website androidneyyappam.com. This website even suggested the logo somewhat similar to this dessert dish.

The release for the Android N was initially announced in March 2016, and this current beta which is likely said to be stable is up with the improved notification, emoji’s, split-screen multitasking, security, interactive assistance service, better battery life and also revamped the feature of Doze which came in the previous year of Marshmallow update. And it also has the feature of Daydream which will be only supported for the day-dream handsets. Soon these features will be rolling in all the Android smartphones. It is said that the next nexus phone will be based on Android N.

Google jokingly confirms Android N name as Namey McNameface

As we all know, Android N still doesn’t have a name but seeing the past names, some intuitions do tell us that, “ N” will stand for some sort of sweet eateries right?

Recently, in the latest developer preview version of Android N, the name scheme took a new U turn. Android Authority reported that, if you tap on version option of Android N –located on settings, you will notice an “N” as a big letter with the name Namey McNameface.

This name was used with the reference from the past Boaty McBoatface name. This name was chosen for the British by the public #200 million research vessel in April. But at the end ship was named as Sir David Attenborough. That ship became very much popular as it operated undersea vehicle.

But do you really believe, Google would name its next version as “Namey Mcnameface”? Google is in too much love with the sweet treats, so still the perfect name is not yet knows.

The next Android N is expected to arrive in august or September, bringing the split screen mode, seamless OTA updates, new emoji’s, data saving mode and much more. You can download the latest version preview from the website.

Google introduces “Awareness API” to respond according to your environment

Have you ever wondered if your smartphone can sense where you are? What you’re doing? Or what’s your nearby location? Thought of capturing an image, including the weather information and also combining your current situation together? At the recent Google I/O conference, Google has announced new tools for developers that can be customized to respond to the user’s current situation.

Google is introducing its Awareness API to make the smart features accessible. Think of you are jogging and your music application opens an energetic music playlist. Now let’s consider another scenario where you are driving nearby to any pharmacy and if it is open, then your system application will prompt an alert.
Functions like user location, user activity, and nearby locations are also performed by the API. Earlier, combining these functions using multiple API slow down the device speed. Also, smartphone suffers battery draining and slow processing issues. With the introduction of Google’s Awareness API, all functions will now be flawlessly accessible by combining API’s. Also, data can be interoperated between the Google devices and Android smart wearables.

This new Awareness API contains two API’s, first is Fence API which identifies the user’s current situation and second is Snapshot API that requests the information about the user’s current context.

Few instances shared by the Google are:

  • Let’s say a weather application could easily sense Chrome cast plugged into your bedroom TV to display the current weather details on its screen.
  • Suppose an alarm clock can wake you up the next morning based on your last sleep time and when will be your first meeting will be on that day.
  • Even while jogging you forgot to put on your track application, then also the application automatically gets on.
For any app to succeed, it is important to define a smart business strategy, a professional UI/UX design and above all, an experienced android app development company to convert the idea into a working product!
