Google Maps is looking to improve its functionality by rolling out Wi-Fi only mode

With the most amazing functionalities in Google, it is now leveraging with the millions of people with the strong crowdsource base. However, due to one more add-on of improving the location information, it will make the people highly excited to use the Google services. Google has also modified the process of editing, sharing and updating the information to make it more user-friendly. And recently, Google is finally rolling out with the Wi-Fi only mode for its most loved Google Map App. This feature would be gradually available to the users in near future and users would need a v9.32 version to take the advantage of this feature.


You can check out if this feature is available on your device. Open the Settings screen and look for a new toggle on the second line with the title "Wi-Fi only." If it's there, you're set to go offline. It would stop your mobile data usage and will switch to the Wi-Fi mode. On using this mode for the first time, it will show you a pop up in a quick manner that, it may use the small amount of the data.

This is not enough, Google has still something to reveal. It also announced that users who’re using the version 9.32 will get the pop ups of map notification regarding the mass transit delays. This is especially for the people who are using the public transport like bus, trains, metros and more. The same will inform users of disruption alerts in selected services via notifications, provided the same is available in your region. But, it was revealed that the updated feature might crash the app and some errors were also found. Before the wider availability of this feature, there would some improvements needed in it. Users, who are highly enthusiastic in using the new features before the official rollout, can use Google-signed APK for Google Maps for Android v9.32.1 via APK Mirror, but do not that this is not a guarantee the new features will show up.

Google recently bumped up with the image quality and also added the new section of that would enable the user to add one or more location in the map app. These additional features are available for the Android users, Google Maps and Google search only.
