Microsoft acquires Beam live streaming services

Microsoft recently announced its plan to acquire the live streaming service Beam which is the Seattle-based company that enables the users to interact with the streamers during the broadcasts. Beam came into existence to compete against streamers and their fans from Twitch and YouTube. For instance, users have the options to choose the weapons that another individual used to dispatch enemies, select a game mode or can fly a drone in the room. Beam became quite popular by streamers which can be controlled by players from afar and these converted into a unique streaming platform.


Beam has got the amazing SDK for the great user experience that goes far from simple chatting and viewing streams. With these, you can be rewarded with the extra XP points, boosters, and emoticons which solely depends on how often you tune in and how often you watch apart from interfacing with the streamers and getting involved in the game. 

It is obvious that Beam would grow explicitly larger after joining Microsoft, than by self. The CEO - Matt Salsamendi of the Beam echoed that, they would scale up much faster and quicker than before.

The upcoming popular games Sea of Thieves and Minecraft seems to be booming high from the Microsoft’s announcement as they are both titles that largely draw from Social Interaction. These both games are amazing and enables to create their own stories by playing cooperatively.

These games are the perfect type of interaction that Beam has brought in the limelight, especially when the interaction is open between 2-3 players all over the globe. Microsoft has already mentioned about these games explicitly during the announcement and hence it becomes clear, how far the beam integration does would travel.

These days gaming is quite in buzz and is becoming more and more social and with this integration, Beam would leave no stone unturned between spectating and actually getting involved.
